Splitting Mauls
Prandi mauls are specially designed for chopping and splitting firewood. These axe models have a much thicker and heavier head than felling axes. In fact, this serves to have a greater force of penetration into the wood, without the axe getting stuck in the grain or knots of the wood. Usually the heads of the these axes weigh from 2500gr to 3500gr, mounting a handle of 80/90cm. While axe with splitting wedge is lighter, but its shape allows to split the wood with a single blow.
